Hot Sale 2025 in Argentina: demand for flights abroad explodes after the end of the currency controls

Hot Sale 2025 in Argentina: demand for flights abroad explodes after the end of the currency controls

The 2025 edition of Hot Sale kicked off with a historic twist: for the first time, the event is being held without a currency restriction on the retail market. This innovation has sparked interest in international flights , with a sharp increase in demand for packages abroad, now available in dollar installments and with interest-free financing for up to 18 payments.

Tourism is one of the sectors that has benefited most from the new economic climate, which offers greater currency predictability and new tools for planning trips without setbacks. Travel agencies have focused on the low season—from August to November—and winter vacations, with options that combine financing in pesos and payments in dollars.

The possibility of paying with foreign currency from bank accounts or with cash in hand is becoming increasingly attractive for those seeking to avoid taxes such as the 30% tax on income and personal property.

Payment options available in dollars include a debit card linked to a savings account, bank transfer, a 3-installment interest-free plan with pre-trip debit, credit card payments after a dollar deposit, and even cash pickup at travel agencies. Promotions are available for both domestic and international destinations.

According to a survey by Turismo City , the most popular round-trip tickets in the last 90 days have shown stable prices for destinations such as Santiago, Chile (USD 230), Rio de Janeiro (USD 300), Cancún (USD 650), and Miami (USD 750). Locally, the cheapest destinations are between $80,000 and $90,000, such as Iguazú, Mendoza, and Salta, while Ushuaia and El Calafate exceed $150,000.

Another key fact is that several cities in the interior of the country, such as Córdoba, Rosario, Salta, and Tucumán, will add new international routes, strengthening connectivity without going through Buenos Aires. This expands the options for inbound and outbound tourism and decentralizes access to Hot Sale promotions.

With fewer long weekends in the 2025 calendar and Easter already behind us, this Hot Sale is positioned as the first major driver of tourism consumption this year. The new exchange rate normalization turns the dollar into a planning tool rather than an obstacle, reshaping the opportunity landscape for those looking to travel the world again.
