|The US tariffs are a huge problem for German automakers. Officially, the EU is negotiating with the US government. However, German auto bosses don't want to rely solely on this.
They all want the same thing, but somehow they don't. A solution to the trade conflict with the US is probably the most urgent task for German automakers right now. However, the managers of the individual car companies have quite different views on how to achieve this most quickly and what such a car deal should look like. And trust in the EU Commission also seems to be lacking everywhere.
