Thomas Göing, a baker in Hanover, has done something quite unusual – he's lowered his prices. The 46-year-old is offering many of his approximately 60 items at 10 to 25 percent off their previous prices. The 750-gram standard loaf, for example, now costs €2.95 instead of €3.50. "Top quality, crispy, with real sourdough," Göing praises the coveted loaf.
So why the price drop?
