He wanted to lead China to the top of the chip world. Now Europe has taken the helm from Zhang Xuezheng. Who is the man who is no longer allowed to lead Nexperia?

Just a few weeks ago, Chinese billionaire Zhang Xuezheng was still at the helm of a European high-tech company. Today, he is no longer allowed to enter his own company. The Dutch government has taken control of Nexperia by emergency decision and removed Zhang as CEO.

They're small, they're cheap, and they're produced in the billions. But woe betide those chips if they're missing. Who is the manufacturer Nexperia, whose supply problems could now paralyze entire industries?
